Training Resources for Individuals

If you want to design web pages, we recommend that you learn html (hypertext markup language). html is the coding language that creates pages.

You can either learn html on your own, from books or by attending classes. Most community colleges, local universities continuing education departments or adult learning organizations provide training.

If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, visit http://www.ced.uta.edu.

Or if you would like to take an online course, we recommend the following:
html Writers Guild
ZdNet's University

There are several excellent books on html and web designing, WPD recommends the following publishers (we use books from both publishers in WPD training courses):
The Dummies Series
Visual Quickstart Guides by Peachpit Press
